I wanted to talk about something that is very controversial. Barack Obamas plan for taxes. The plan for taxes in the business arena. I say it is controversial because we are talking about money. I would hardly call 250,000 a year a “small business” I have seen small businesses and they usually classify between 50,000-to 75,000 s annually, sometimes before taxes and then when you factor in the taxes, and the fact that most small business fail in the first year causing them to lose all of their initial investments, yet still requiring them to make the monthly loan that it took for the startup costs. What a sad state of affairs. It’s going to get hot in here in a minute. If I could disclose to you my husbands earnings along with mine, you’d laugh. Living in Florida, most blacks are paid 35 percent less than their white coworkers. I’m not being mean, just stating facts.
Yet someone who makes 250,000 dollars annually can hardly complain about the taxes. Even if it is a small business. First of all, most women make much less than men and if you see the white collar field, men rule. Women make up most of the service areas. I worked for a reinsurance company in Florida also, and let me tell you, there were no women in “real power” It was interesting to see. They were all secretaries to men. All white men I might add. No offense, just stating the facts. I think they didn’t gripe because the men allowed them to have long lunches and take off work and it was easier for them to miss work, although they rarely took advantage of this, they were a group of power hungry women that would not let anyone get into their menial positions. I won’t tell you what I did as I worked there, but I can tell you that I was not in the clique. It only held white women.
Now I will cut that conversation off before I say too much, but you get my point. Downtown Orlando, you don’t see many blacks. Another controversial statement, and if you do, they are headed to court. No offense, blacks don’t get ahead in corporate America, at least they don’t really in Florida. And when they do, they turn conservative, which makes them not stay current on the issues that plague blacks and liberal whites as well as all liberals from any race. How sad?
I don’t get how anybody who makes 250,000 dollars a year can complain about anything. I would like to see that persons house. I would like to see what they drive. I know men that make only 9.00 an hour and drive a mercedes. So I can only imagine what their salary would bring. Listen, I’m not a expert on the subject, but I have a whole lot of common sense. If a person who is making that much money, I imagine them taking out 50,000 for taxes and then 100,000 dollars annually for employees. That would bring you a profit of what 100,000 dollars, yet that is not enough? Now we know that the government isn’t taking away 50,000 dollars annually are they?
Maybe you took on a business that was too big, and maybe you took on a mortgage in a overrated community. Either way, you are over indulged. You need help. If most people and business owners actually purchased what they could afford and left credit alone, except when you knew the business was lucrative with the strong possibility of a great return, only then would I say dive in. But nope, our spending habits have created this problem and it should be avoided at all cost.
As we can see from this economic crisis, the wrong kind of government takes care of it’s own first. Believe it. I know that many people will disagree with me, or maybe not, but with the homelessness, and drug abuse, firearms in the wrong hands, terrorist threats, crime filled cities and states, foreclosures, debt weariness, healthcare denials, Noone that makes $250,000 annually should have anything to complain about. I said it and it’s what I believe. Obama raising taxes on families is something different than a company or businesses that make that kind of income, you need to know what they actually pay their employees. 7.00 an hour. shame on them. You also should know that most families do not make that kind of money,if they did, we wouldn’t have this foreclosure crisis. But businesses do and to think what they pay their employees, many of them offering no insurance or benefits.
We the working people of America deserve better than this. i am happy that Senator Obama is providing healthcare for this type of business that offers no insurance. See the people who have insurance and don’t get sick, this is only for you to read and then hopefully you can learn something. Other than that, this is truly for those that are human and actually struggle on this earth to make it. I happen to be of those people who struggle. So this is mainly for them. Frankly, I am sick of the bickering and complaining about taxes being raised, and then the majority of them that are complaining, haven’t even sat down and actually read the plan of Senator Obamas. They are just like “Joe” the non Plumber. He doesn’t even have a license. His name isn’t Joe, and he doesn’t even make that kind of money. No body wants to hear his just in case questions. Crazy guy, he just wanted to be on television.

Hi! The babes are here! This is my best site to visit. I make sure I am alone in case I get too hot. Post your favorite link here.
Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down !!!!!!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day !!!!!!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart !!!!!!
‘ On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers !
On Acorn, On Pelosi ‘
He screamed at the pairs !!!!!!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight !!!!!!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note -
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
PLEASE GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!!!

Patriotism does not mean pay more taxes as Biden says. Patriotic people sent the taxing assholes back to England.
7.00 per hr is a starting point. That’s why we have higher education. If one try’s to live on 7.00 per hr they are foolish and they deserve it. 150k is nothing you can barely afford a decent home about 400k tops which doesn’t get you much. If you work that hard to get there you deserve it. In many cases the 150k jobs are the ones that created the 7.00 jobs in the first place. My old boss started with nothing and grew his company. He makes about 350k per year. If it wasn’t for him none of the jobs would exist in the first place. I was just in Paso Robles CA. A Historical predominantly Republican run town. The store fronts are new and business is thriving, and they have a surplus. Down the road is another cute town Atascadero. All Democrats run this town. The town is in debt and turned down most of the big store chains. If you drive down the main drag all you see is space for rent signs with broken down store fronts. This same story goes for many many cities across this Country especially Florida. Not to mention Chico Ill. Obamas Town. If you can or anyone please let me know of an all Democratically run town that ranks high in Business, Education, and all round Safety. I have yet to find one.
Did you here that the Obama camp lowered the 250k tax to 150k and then later to 120k why? Because they already received the votes they needed from the 120k to 150k people. New law should be that each party has to turn it there Policies and stick to them or face Hugh fines before they hit the Campaign trail, or do not allow early voting. I spoke with a few people that wish they wouldn’t have voted for Obama because of this.

P.S. Hi Erica hows it going?
Hey, D. Karschner, No, actually I’m not that stupid, at least not the last time I checked. I just know that I’m right. And if I’m not right, then tell me why the economy is already where it is? Can you do that? See, big businesses have been getting away with paying their employees too little when they know that they deserve better pay. How dare they do that? I will never be on the side of big business because, I spent over 15years working for them. You tell me how in the hell is someone supposed to make it off of 7.00 an hour? That’s bull and you know it. People can’t live off of that, and that’s why we are dying faster because we can’t afford insurance, no healthcare,no health.
These companies need to treat their employees right and I frankly don’t give a damn about them. You can pay each employee at least 9.50 an hour, and you can pay those damn snobby executives less. They do not need to be making 150,000 annually, and for what, they only occupy space and bring the company down. What a shame and shame on you for supporting it. You are the reason that we don’t have quality healthcare in this country. Maybe you are a shrewd manager. Have you read my blog called Shrewd Manager.
Hey,you need to show some compassion for the little guy and stop worring about people that are rich. They don’t give a damn about you. When is the last time a rich person gave you anything?
Oh, so that’s what you think looks good? Email me and then I will tell you the truth. Everyone has my email.
Or maybe just a razor and a tanning booth so I can look like Samuel L. Jackson.
You know, I like blogging, but one thing I regret is sending my pictures all around and yet, everyone knows what I look like, and I get to see noone. How sad? I get fake names and fake opinions and false everything. I still like the beauty of the connections though.
Then you can blend in with the rest of them right? I know a place where you can get a good powdered wig. It’s all African American hair, or you can get synthetic if you like. Either way you can get some. Are you interested?
No but judging from my hair line I might need one. On second thought I’ll just shave it.
Who says so, and make sure that you copy and paste my token of love also. I think it’s worth reading. Cali, is a key state, what are you saying? you are giving up? I like a man who will contend, and hang in there into the bitter end. For Mccain it will be bitter. Too bad you won’t be a democrat, there are a lot of good people over here. Besides are you a stuffy white guy with a powdered wig? Since I’ve seen enough of that.
Ok that’s funny I just received this info and copied and paste. I haven’t had the time to investigate weather any of this is factual, I’m just being a smart ass. That’s the way I am. Anyway I probably will never be a Democrat, but I love a good debate. I am in California so in the eyes of a Democrat I am a safe Republican because my vote really doesn’t make much difference here.
Respectfully,
Mark
Matter of fact, I collect Mccain signs and distribute them to the homeless and then they use them to build houses and they uses them to make fires. It’s easy for them to use these signs since they are highly flammable. I’ve also told them to hold onto to some of these signs just in case John Mccain wins, they are going to need them, since everyone will be headed for a recession.I even told them to save me some, since John Mccain will continue to keep the homeless homeless, and will continue to keep the poor poor. Not much difference there, I can’t wait for the 5 days to be over, then maybe John Mccain can go and get those decaying teeth fixed. I’m not rich and look at my teeth. Yet you can tell that John Mccain talks a lot of sh*t since his teeth are stained with it. He is full of it up to his ears. LOL
ericka courtney
I like a challenge, I also love to be set up for the big let down. You’re a gem Mark, it’s o.k. to disagree. Just keep it tactful. Those words, nah I can’t digest that, but I will chew on Mccain signs that I see on the street.LOL
ericka courtney
Something more to digest.
Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago ?
Body count:
In the last six months:
292 killed (murdered) in Chicago ;
221 killed in Iraq .
Chicago…. Who Runs it:

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago .
Of course, they’re all blaming each other!
Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look ‘em up if you want).
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . And he’s gonna ‘fix’ Washington politics for us!

That’s funny Mark, but I thought that the Mexicans were red too. Oh well, I have no clue, the only thing I know, is that I’m labeled as black. LOLOL I thought that I was more brown and less black, but with a little dash of black. Who knows?
Ericka Courtney
ops I forgot Brown sorry Mexicans. he he
I’m sorry I don’t mean to make you emotional. The fact that you are willing to try and forgive him shows your heart. Your feelings / radical views from what I see are just true honest emotions, they are Human that’s all. Just remember… What we see and feel when watching others, Red, Yellow, Black, or White depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
Mark
Stop it, now you’re getting me all emotional. Now I know that have been watching me and that you can truly see my heart. I know I can be a pain sometimes, especially for my radical views, but if you truly knew me, you’d see, I’m not that bad. Thank you for your kindness and I do appreciate your prayers. I definitely need them to help me forgive him (my ex) for what he did.
thank you ericka courtney
Erica, I saw your protest over Casey Anthony you are a passionate person for that I truly respect you. I am so sorry your own daughter is missing. I have a 5 year old son and I know I could never in a million years be able to deal with my emotions if he were missing. I don’t know of your X-Relationship but hopefully he isn’t hurting her. I am not a big religious person but I am the son of a 80 year old retired minister of a nondenominational church, a church filled with beautiful people and I will tell my Father to tell his Congregation to prey for you and your daughters safety and location. Remember there are people who care. Keep your head up.
Your Friend,
Mark
I Learned something as well. Don’t Generalize a race! and that all humans have there own thoughts and feelings.
Your a Beautiful person. Stay that way…
Peace out,
Mark
Concerned, thanks for your confession, I now see the
real person behind your last comment. I really like you. I really do. I have enjoyed writing to you also. I love the comment that you wrote on Mahatma Gandhi, it is so true. Concerned, you make some very valid points, and perhaps I should start a jar also and it should be a mandate that all companies do the same. I’m already free of debt according to arrears of contributions of complaints that I have made. Now I just have to come up with the cash. Thank you Concerned, it’s been a real joy and guess what? I even learned something.
Ericka, I change my name to Concerned now. The comment I made (“I guess it boils down to the fact that if one wants to be lazy vote for Obama if you want to work hard and succeed past $250.00 per year vote Republican.”) My comment was wrong and I would like to recant that at this time. Your comment “Either you trust a black man or you don’t” is out of bounds for me because the color of a mans skin is irrelevant. I trust a man by what he does and how he projects himself. The comment is suggesting that if I don’t trust one Black man then I don’t trust them all.
I believe that many people, the end users of these loans did make poor financial decisions based on income, and alot were suckered into the thinking that the home values would keep going up. When I purchased my home in 1999 all I had to do was give stated income (I lied big time). This practice from what I have read has ended. Republicans didn’t do much about it because I admit some of us made quite a bit of money during this time. The Democrats also didn’t do much about it because the lower middle class were getting loans as well. So here we are. What do we do about it? I think Americans will be forced back to good old fashion values. If you can’t afford it don’t buy it. and 4-8 years of this may be a good thing.
Well the good news is that I feel both sides are getting a grip on the problem and pointing fingers at this point is a mute point. Growing up I working as a sales person in a mid size Company before starting my own business. My boss had a jar on a counter and who ever made an excuse, pointed fingers, or complained about literary anything had to put $2.00 in the jar. I admit I was a major contributor to the jar. At the end of the year there was around $1500 dollars. The money was given to Charity. Maybe if every Republican and Democratic politician did this we could pay off our debt. All kidding aside I am a Republican who also likes to give back to my Community and I do. Some Democrats I run into believe that Republicans are greedy. I’m not digging at Democrats when I say that Republicans are the number one contributors to Charity.
I really appreciated Blogging with you and enjoyed your input. I will check in to see your response if you choose to leave one. good luck with your Books. Being a Author sounds like a blast of a job.
Peace,
“We must be the change we wish to see in this world.” -Mahatma Gandhi-

Alright Pissed, that’s a lot of information, some of it I care about, some I don’t. Let me tell you what is a point that I am willing to address, then I will continue, now you had me with you all the way until you mention the Low Income homeownership leading to the financial crisis. I beg to differ there, mainly because it’s not the small amounts of mortgages that have cause the setback, granted in the predominantly black neighborhood in Florida, there is a lot of foreclosure activity, it’s the middle class that is being hit the hardest, and the mortgages that were taken out in many states where bad money management also played a role. Also, I want to know what you consider “low income” as it refers to the housing market. Do I believe that there is a link between the Gramm Leach Bliley Act? Well being that the republicans were the majority vote for regulation, with only 1 democrat voting for it, I’m not seeing the connection. However, it just seems more like a financial system that needed to be regulated, and not a overhaul of the financial sector. That eventually turned into financial services, this is too much for me this early. If your dispute is whether or not regulation was appropriate, then you’re on to something, but not for the reasons you were thinking of, unless I’m wrong, more of, from the discriminatory aspects of the actual bill. If you think of the purpose of the actual bills intention, obviously there was a need. However, I don’t agree with mixing savings and investments in the same token. I do appreciate Bill Clinton for saying that he would sign the bill, but with strict guidelines, and that seemed to work right? Now, you are being a bit harsh, since there are millions of people that will vote for Obama and they are not lazy, not in the least, bit. If you want to get your point across, remember, try not to put everyone in the same catagory. Intelligence and ignorance don’t mix in the same sentence. I’m not lazy. Never have been, and yes I already voted for Obama, he is the right one for me. I don’t mind paying higher taxes, and yes I am well beneath the 250,000 mark, yet that wouldn’t stop me from becoming more successful, even though I know that my taxes would increase, that’s fine with me. The taxes have been the same and Senator Obama is going to have the same taxes that were in the nineties under Clinton. In fact, he actually did better, and I wrote a blog about it. Taxes have always been high in this country, and I’m not going to attack Obama for the same thing that a white president has done for years. If it wasn’t a problem with them, then it’s not a problem with Obama. Either you trust a black man or you don’t. That’s the real issue here, it’s not about Barney Frank, and it’s scandal, it’s not about the financial services, most people don’t give a damn about stuff like that, and it is obvious. You are talking about something that you have given much attention to, much unnecessary attention to, I might add, listen, if it makes a person feel better not to attack the republicans for this crisis, then It’s not republicans fault, but if you like it the other way, hell, it’s their fault. Everyone is at fault here. It just seems like, and history would show you, if you’d look for that and stop talking about some stupid Financial services plan and privacy act, and discrimination act of the financial services that was necessary, you would see that when Republicans are in the chair, there is always a crisis, and they always leave the dirt for the Democrats to come in and clean up,this time is no different. Pissed, I am not mad, this election will be over in 5 days, and we will have our answer, but there won’t be any peace even then, because someone won’t be happy. This won’t please everyone, but I will always vote for the guy that looks after the little guy, and will look after the elderly, and medicaid, and public service works, that’s the kind of person I am. I’m a liberal and I love to give back to my community. Obama is very attractive to me in that light.
Don’t confuse me with “Pissed” from Blog #3 although he/she did raise a good argument.
-Mark Out-
Hi Ericka, Thanks for the response I am taking the roll of just pissed now. I certainly am not or didn’t intend to take the roll of how you feel or want to imply that all Blacks feel the same because I know they don’t. In fact I hope the kids of all races breed together and so on to end this whole race madness once and for all. Nuff of that, on to the Sub Prime mess.
Despite the fact that a favorite Democratic Party talking point is that this legislation resulted in the deregulation which led to the crisis, this argument is completely off point and is intentionally being used by the Democratic Party as a red herring to draw attention away from the real cause of the crisis. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act removed what, over the course of decades, had become artificial barriers between various types of financial institutions, and the Act mirrored similar legislation in other western countries. The legislation was passed by overwhelming majorities in both houses of Congress and was praised by the Clinton administration as a means of removing artificial barriers to the free of capital in the capital markets. This action was long overdue in 1999.
Various Democratic operatives are only throwing smoke when they refer to the Gramm Leach Bliley Act. This is obvious simply from the fact that no one is suggesting now that the barriers and other hindrances eliminated in 1999 be reestablished. The Democratic Party speaking points also have yet to even try to present a causal link between the Gramm Leach Bliley Act and the subprime crisis. The German term “Volksverdummung” (basically, playing the population for fools) perfectly describes the recurring refrain from Representative Barney Frank, Senator Chris Dodd and other Democratic Party leaders accusing the Republicans of generally opposing regulation while at the same time failing to acknowledge how especially Democratic policies to promote low income home ownership led to the subprime crisis and, thus, to the current financial crisis.
The Republicans had control of the Congress and the administration for six years; why didn’t they issue any warnings or introduce appropriate regulation?
The Bush administration issued first warnings in April 2001. The New York Times reported on 11 September 2003 “New Agency Opposed to Oversee Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae”. Senator Hagel, with sponsorship by Senator McCain and two other Republican senators, introduced S. 190 “Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act” of 2005. All of the attempts to tighten control over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae failed due to broad resistance in the Democratic Party, including Obama who voted against the over site. parts of the Republican Party and from much of the entrenched Washington establishment which was making good money at the time in the housing industry and related financial markets. The political left has also started the mantra that the Republicans are at fault because they had control of the Congress. While there are certainly individual Republican legislators who went along with the social policies represented by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, there were repeated efforts by the Bush administration and also by some members of Congress to get the situation under control (see, the NY Times article of September 11, 2003 at http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9E06E3D6123BF932A2575AC0A9659C8B63 and US Senate Bill 190 [109th]: Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 co-sponsored by Senator McCain). Unfortunately, the vested interests at the GSEs and their allies on both sides of the aisle in Congress succeeded in keeping themselves free to expand the bubble even more.
Whose heads should roll? Obviously the people who have run interference for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for many years, such as Senator Chris Dodd and Representative Barney Frank have a lot of explaining to do. Aside from this, we all have to consider the real price of social policies which ignore fundamental economic principles.
Ericka I have done extensive research as well! I guess it boils down to the fact that if one wants to be lazy vote for Obama if you want to work hard and succeed past $250.00 per year vote Republican. I think it’s fine to have a black man in office, just not this one. I don’t fear for me I fear for the free world and I don’t think he will help the free world at all, he has made that clear. I don’t believe is the Antichrist either. Obama’s spiritual leader of 20 years Jeremiah Wright, in my opinion, from what I have herd coming from him is one of the most racist persons on the planet, I rank him right up with the kkk. Remember the old saying “you are what you eat” well I question what Obama has been digesting for 20 years.
Erica, it has been great Blogging with you, I wish you the best.
P.S. “Can’t Get Any Harder”, “How Long” and “Georgia-Lina”. are among my Favorite song by James Brown. I love music and what would music be like in America with out Black people? It would SUCK! I will stay posted for your possible response.
-Mark out-
Very Pissed, man you do sound pissed. One of the best things that caught my attention is that you are afraid. I don’t blame you. You truly want us on the business train. Well what I want to know is why are we looked over in corporate America? Very Pissed, it’s not your fault and you sound like a reasonable person, I appreciate the fact that you care. I care too. That’s why I talk about what I believe. We don’t have to agree, but you are mature enough to not call me names, so I will respond. However Mark, you cannot ever take on the role that tells me how I feel. Mark I feel oppressed everyday, and I have no black leaders in my ear. I don’t like Jesse Jackson, I and I like Al Sharpton more because of his relationship with James Brown. He’s not that bad, so don’t get that in your head that we blacks all follow some leader. You say Democrats created the subprime mess, but actually we haven’t controlled the senate or house for 12 years, maybe less, but at least 8. Are you telling me that you feel like you won’t be able to succeed under Barack Obama? Well then that scares me about you. See we have had to succeed no matter who was in office. Even though I know that change scares people, you might find this funny. I tell everyone, I voted for George Bush, and I trusted him and didn’t question anything that he said. I believed him more than Kerry. Why do we question
Barack Obama patriotism, his morals, his ethics, his associations, his motives, his religion, his damn everything about Obama, people just don’t trust. They swear he’s a terrorist, they swear he’s a muslim, which is fine, but not true, they swear that he will take money from the rich and give to the poor. I wrote a blog about why the celebrities aren’t complaining. I wondered why Gates, and Trump, Oprah, and the other big whigs weren’t complaining, but actually supporting Obama. They make way more money that you or I ever could combined, yet they seemed content. Because they have discovered the secret of giving. I have also, and I am considered poor according to their standards, hell, even yours, I don’t make that much. I think the bigger issue here is Fear, the fear of the unknown, but I can assure you, I don’t think that Obama is the antichrist, I don’t think that he is a Muslim extremist. I trust him, because I have to. I trusted Bush and Clinton, why not Obama? I have done my research and am confident in my choice. If you don’t like him, Mark, that is your right, you may vote for whoever you like, just be happy about it and vote for the right reasons. Don’t not vote for him because of his race, vote because you don’t believe in him and you don’t support his issues or plans. you’ll be fine either way right?
ericka courtney
P.S Socialism is Mediocrity. People will be lining up for more free stuff. also this whole concept of the Blacks feeling oppressed is wrong. They are not oppressed! Many Blacks feel this way because the black leaders of today tell them they are when in reality America wants them on the Business train. We beg them to be on the train.
-Mark out-
Ericka, are you voting for Obama because he is black? Tell the truth. This is not about Taxes its about control over money and Obama scares the Crap out of me. I am white and the last person on earth that is Predigest. My wife and I together make around 140k per year and although we might Benefit from him he scares me for many other reasons. Who is he to want to control our money to the point where no one can succeed and the Democrats of today have earned the new title of “Socialist” What do we want to be like Denmark? where no one can succeed? You watch he and his Socialist buddies will stomp all over our Constitution. He wants to take all the guns away. Do you really think this will stop the bad guys from having guns. If anything crime will go up.
Other reasons Oboma Scares me is that this is a different world now. It is imperative that we have our presence around the world in order to insure the safety of FREE countries such as ours. It’s better to spend the money on that than on big buildings to house more Democrats that spend .75 cents on the dollar while trying to figure out how to spend the other .25 cents. With Obama at the wheel I fear for other free countries such as Israel. If the Shit goes down does he really no anything at all about defending a Nation or helping another, and will he? If so cutting the defense budget sure won’t help! It’s VERY important that we invest in mutual assured destruction around the world. Unfortunately war is ugly along with the people that start them, Yes I believe Bush Lied to us, but how would Iraq be now had we not gone in? Our move in Iraq is for the future safety of the entire World. It’s funny that CNN is not reporting on it now, why, because we are winning. It seems that the Democrats want to end the war in Iraq and sweep it under the rug, exactly like they did with the Sub Prime mess we are in and as long as the Democrats keep breeding ASSHOLES like Barney Frank we won’t have a free country. WE NEED TO FINISH and Stay or have a presence in Iraq! Having a presence and securing certain areas of the World is most important or a nuke WILL go off! It would be just a matter of time. Then the Democrats will sit around and try to blame the Bush administration or anyone but them selves for it. I hope you all enjoy the extra Taxes… CA State Tax will go to 9% and who does this help? not the poor. Democrats still will not provide Art and Music Classes in our Schools etc… If you think the poor will receive what they think they will get as a result of wealth distribution, “The Socialistic Democrat voters” will get a slap in the face. Ohh ya and the inheritance that you might give or receive will be cut near in half if Obama has his way. Attached is how I feel about the Democratic governing body. I guess its best not to get me Started!
P.S. I am not adding Obama to my Dictionary. I prefer it come up miss spelled… just like his Policies.

The concept of socialism is great….but it requires everyone to work to existing standards under capitalism. Please check out this simple example of taxation….
http://www.liberalloons.com/stories.html
You may not make $250,000 yourself, but odds are that you work for someone that does. Guess what that makes you suseptable to the effects of increased taxation. I work for an engineering firm that is owned by a wealthy guy. I work 45-50 hours a week and make less significantly less than $250,000 make that significantly less than half of that. But I know one thing. THe boss man will get his money. If he doesn’t….we loose our jobs. If running his company isn’t netting him the money he is used to…..he will cut back so that he cuts his liability and workload.
Never mind. I understand the view now.
You do realize the “$250.000″ cutoff for small businesses is the “Total Receipts”, not their “take home pay”.
I drove a 1998 mazda pickup truck and lived in a 1500 sqft house.
So, you can’t go by “What they drive” or “What house they live in”.
$250.000 isn’t the business owner’s pay. I Probably made around $6.00 to $8.00 an hour when I had my business if I went by what I ended up paying myself.
The business bank account USUALLY isn’t the owner’s bank account.
Thanks for your comments, I thought that maybe some of the readers on this site would actually stop by and make a few statements regarding their position on the subject of money. Since they didn’t I will.
So here is my question, what are the companies paying now? Is this the same kind of taxation that will follow once John Mccain get into office, if elected? Well, I think so, unless we’re talking about the extra 10% decrease in taxes that was mentioned. See, Mr. John Mccain… not, as you call yourself, we are already paying more for food, gas, goods, clothing, etc…so there won’t be a difference will there now? We have already had a bailout of 8 billion dollars, that has yet to help any American from foreclosure. Will the money come? Probably not.
It’s easy for us to tie John Mccain to Bush, and feel good. But let’s not do that. Lets assume that John will be totally different. I have read over his plan and it is bullspeck…big time. But you must also believe that this economy has been better. See, it’s not the corporation that you need to worry about. Conservatives for the most part think the same way. Nope they are not the fabric of America. The working class is. Let me tell you once again. There are more Obama signs in the wealthy houses, than in the lower class. Now I don’t mean the slums, but a halfway decent house. With a family making around $50-$60,000 annually. I have tested it. I know. I wrote a blog about it. Everyone has been asking me, why do the lower class whites still support a government that doesn’t give a damn about them. Yet I was told the other day, that Barack Obama, doesn’t give a damn about poor people.
Well I can say this, at least there is a topic of discussion on Senator Obamas website, that gives an actual plan for poverty. He gives one for seniors, veterans, rural, all you can think of. I will add one more thing. If we have had a republican for the last 8 years, then you can understand why someone would want to try something different.
Noone wants to sacrifice everything to satisfy a few thousands who actually make 250,000 annually. Not me. In this case, it appears that the majority has won. Most people don’t really want to talk about showing any concern for a person who makes that kind of money. Sorry, it’s the truth. It is a fact when the republicans are in the office, the country goes haywire and everybody suffers. Most of the conservatives have a “What’s in it for me?” attitude. That’s not good,as I said before, why don’t you try looking at the little guy for once?
Understand that when big companies and corporations are taxed more–YOU will pay more! When it costs more to produce food, clothing, gas, etc, it costs more at the cash register. So yes-your taxes may go down-BUT you will pay more for the goods you purchase which means you are not saving anything!
What is the incentive to work harder or strive for more if you know 60 cents on the dollar is going to go to the government? I have the opportunity to make over 250 next year and am thinking about going half time because what is the f’ing point of working for some lazy a-hole?
It is amazing how many of us who make less than $250K feel that Obama’s tax increase will somehow negatively affect them. Any small business that grosses over $250K will be encouraged to reinvest that amount over, back into their business; that’s what happened PRIOR to the Reagan years when this “experiment” was first tried and during the Clinton years when small business PROSPERED.
Opponents are the serfs fighting for their masters so somehow they might be given a few more morsels of bread.
Ericka… are you serious!?!?!
Man, if a person’s income should be based on the person and not the job they’re doing I should probably be making hundreds of thousands or more a year with as much as I help people in my spare time.
I think you misunderstood what Katrina posted though… she is not saying a person is worth their work, what I believe she is saying is that a person’s income is worth their work. You most certainly can and most certainly must put a value on a person’s work. You can’t pay someone flipping burgers $60,000 per year because they have good character… that job is not worth $60,000 per year. If it were… almost everyone would be dieing to flip burgers for work because it requires no extra schooling, minimal training, and minimal work.
No, the value is put on the job. A person then comes and does that job. I don’t care if the President even started flipping burgers, who it is that does the job should not affect the amount they make for that job. Actually, now that I think about it… with what you’re saying above you are actually kind of justifying paying different amounts based on the person. Say a person with a criminal history comes in for a job… most would consider their personal value to be less than others due to their past and should therefore not make as much money because of that. I’m sure you would disagree with that though, right? If so, what you said above definitely can not stand.
Katrina, I do appreciate your comment, however the one major dispute that I have with it would involve your ability to minimize a persons wealth and work ethic.
First, it is commendable to see you as a proud grandchild for your grandfather, that is beautiful.
However, never make the comment that a person work is their worth, and never make the comment that a person makes what they deserve. It is a harshness and cruelty that can be avoided. I don’t want my readers to think that I support your ideas. We should never judge a man by the education that he has, or the amount of money that he earns. A person is to be judged by their character. That is the telling fact. It is truly what you do for others.
Now this is another subject seperate from the one above. Although Katrina, you stated that your grandfather makes $250,000 annually and you feel that he, paying taxes is a penalty or is it the bracket? Then what about the person that makes 7.00 an hour as a single mother? Yet they are taxed also, lower bracket, but still taxed. Every job is essential, from a Janitor to a Brain surgeon, not one of those jobs should be considered menial. Example, if the trash collector stopped coming by your community, I think you would then see the “value” of their work. I do. I am happy that your family is doing well, and you should never feel guilty about your success, but you must also never put a value on anyones work. Noone has that right. And noone has the right to say what another man “deserves” when it comes to their income. In Florida one of our Superintendents makes over $300,000 dollars annually, and also receives a hefty bonus, yet in his school district, they are continously struggling to bring their grade up to a C. I also stand behind my statements. I would wonder what a VP actually did that was so vital, that it would be more preferable than a garbage collector. See, I can do without another VP, but I need that guy that comes by my house 3 times a week. See, we have all of these big positions, senators, governors, commissioners, mayors, yet our country is still lacking in education, we still have homeless, we still have money that is being thrown the drain. Everyone wants the big position, but they don’t want to commit to their responsibility, which is America. Don’t read anything extra into my comments, other than what it says. It should speak for itself. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. I appreciate the work of every man. And also remember, I did tell you in the beginning, that this topic would be sensitive for a lot of people. However, I do want to hear your responses.
Thank you,
Ericka Courtney,
P.s. I also suggest that you review Senator Obamas tax plan for Americans, I believe that you misread some statements regarding in the increase in taxes for people making over $250,000 annually.
My family makes over $250,000 and earns it. As senior VP of a hospital, my father breaks his back for his community. Why should he not receive every dime he has earned? My father came from the lowest poverty one can imagine in a third-world country and became successful using education and ambition.
For those who are making $9/hr, they are getting what they deserve for the type of work that they do. I know what it is like to work hard and make minimal pay. However, entry-level positions don’t deserve high salaries. It does not matter how “hard” one works or how many hours they put in- it is the value of their job. Less value= less money.
My family has a decently-sized house, mid-level cars and 3 college tuitions to pay. We have the opportunity to enjoy a few luxuries, but generally-speaking we do not “over-indulge”. Successful people should not be penalized for their efforts.
With Obama’s tax plan, all my family’s efforts to provide a comfortable lifestyle will have been in vain.
